This Privacy Policy explains how FinFox handles personal information when you use its website, account features and related services.
1. FinFox’s product-isolated account
FinFox maintains its account identity, authentication records, preferences and product activity within FinFox’s product-isolated account and data boundary.
Creating or deleting a FinFox account does not automatically create or delete a PricePup or FuelFalcon account.
2. Information FinFox collects
- account and contact details you provide;
- searches, filters, saved financial products, comparison activity and preferences;
- subscription and payment-status information if paid features are offered;
- support messages, feedback and correction requests; and
- technical, diagnostic, security and usage information such as IP address, device details and activity logs.
3. How FinFox uses information
- authenticate and secure your FinFox account;
- provide comparisons, saved items, preferences and requested features;
- manage plans and essential service communications;
- respond to support and correction requests;
- operate, analyse and improve FinFox and its data quality; and
- detect misuse, meet legal obligations and enforce FinFox’s terms.
4. Financial information and automated decisions
If a feature collects income, expenses, assets, debts, goals or other financial circumstances, FinFox will provide a specific collection notice before collection.
FinFox does not currently make solely automated decisions using personal information that significantly affect legal rights or interests. If that changes, the relevant feature will explain the information and decisions involved.
5. Disclosures and service providers
FinFox may disclose information to providers supporting hosting, authentication, email, analytics, monitoring, support and payments, limited to what they need to provide those services.
Information may also be disclosed at your direction, where required or authorised by law, to protect people or legal rights, or as part of a genuine corporate transaction subject to appropriate protection.
FinFox does not sell personal information to data brokers.
6. Cookies, analytics and overseas processing
Cookies and browser storage may support sign-in, security, routing, preferences and measurement. Browser controls may restrict these technologies, although some features may stop working.
Some service providers may process information outside Australia. FinFox will document current provider categories and likely countries before publication and apply protections required by law.
7. Retention and security
FinFox retains personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the service, security, legal obligations and disputes, then takes reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
FinFox uses safeguards appropriate to the information and risk, but no online system can guarantee complete security.
8. Access, correction, deletion and complaints
You may request access to or correction of personal information and may request deletion of your FinFox account, subject to lawful retention requirements. FinFox may verify your identity before acting.
Privacy questions, requests and complaints can be submitted through the FinFox feedback page. Australian users may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
